Anwar Azad
At the time, Anwar Azad was actively involved in the film industry and established the "Civic Point Video Society" video club at the Gulshan -1 DMC market. Over the past 30 years, he has held various positions with various organizations and has been actively involved in many Bangladeshi activities in Toronto with various social and cultural organizations.
Being a member of the Bangladesh Film Producers Distributors Association and a director on the executive committee of the Canada Bangladesh Chamber of Commerce, he also holds these positions. His participation in IFFSA TORONTO is one of his other major identities. He plays a significant role in the International Film Festival of South Asia (IFFSA TORONTO), where he serves as the "Director of Bengali Affairs" for the International Film Festival Group and organizes all film-related activities from Kolkata and Bangladesh for the festival.
His main objective is to promote for Bangladeshi films in film festivals and on the global market. Via "Anwar Azad Films" and "Canadian Media Entertainment Ltd.," he has also begun producing movies.
In addition, he was chosen to serve a three-year term as a Director of the Peel Multicultural Council, which offers settlement services to immigrants financed by the Canadian government.
He is also active in the Canadian Liberal Party.
